I will tell you one thing I will NEVER own a hybrid...........they are for hippies (sorry if anyone owns one). I like the black puffs of smoke that come out of my exhaust when I lay on the accelerator and I like how it tears up the roads (or yards if i get a little off track ). I will always love my Evo8 MR. And I will have it forever! I agree with U.P.Evo8 damn you Mitsubishi!

Re: Why the Evo Matters.

Mitsu had a good run, put out a platform with potential. I think the tuners and aftermarket vendors made the Evo legendary. When was the last time Mitsu ran a factory race car? Don't get me wrong, I love my Evo8, and would be happy running it for a long time. It's when my Evo is in sick-bay for things like the t-case that I hate it. My wife hates that my emotional well-being revolves around the Evo. Mitsubishi, damn you for hooking us on a drug, then leaving us out to dry!

Re: Why the Evo Matters.

Solid! There are those who have never bought a new Mitsubishi, likely never will, and see the passing of the Evo as some sort of rationalization for why. Freud was right.

Re: Why the Evo Matters.

Brian, I love you man!

Re: Why the Evo Matters.

Amen, brother.

Re: Let’s Talk: Winter Projects

Headgasket replacement is a good time. Love it, Richard. Keep us posted. If you send us over a couple pictures and a paragraph or two about the latest developments, we'll run 'em so everyone can keep up with the project. That's got to be one of the meanest FTOs on the planet. Go fast with class.

NOTE: Richard, I don't know where your comment went! April is my goal for 195/2000 (birthday present to myself). 3/1000 may or may not have been seen on the streets recently (wink), 1101 is said to have an engine build underway, and there's a no-badge car only FMIC, wiring, and fluids away from coming down off a lift for the first time in about three years - all in the Phoenix metro.

2011: Year of the Galant

Re: Let’s Talk: Winter Projects

I'm putting back together Galant VR4 801/2000. That would be an excellent read. Rob's trying to track down 4G63 swapped vehicles for future stories. We'll have to keep an eye out for that one.

Personally, I remember seeing video online of what used to be a Suzuki Samurai with a 4G63 swap. It was pretty much an articulated roll cage rock crawler with only the Sami grille up front to distinguish it as a Suzi, but it was weird seeing a rock crawler claw its way up a cliff, to the tune of WOT 4G63T.

Re: From a Mirage to an Evo with Mark Schroeder

awesome! thumbs up!!!

Re: Dave Groff’s Mitsu powered Sandrail

i seen this guy at a drift indy who had a drift s10 that was 4g63 powered sounded awesome had a 4" stack in the back. didn't drift for crap tho

Re: Ivan Berko – Croatia’s only first gen AWD DSM owner?

Thank You.

Re: Ivan Berko – Croatia’s only first gen AWD DSM owner?

HEAR HEAR!

Re: Ivan Berko – Croatia’s only first gen AWD DSM owner?

Well it just seems like most U.S. owners just view 1G DSM's as donors for other cars or a way to make a quick buck by parting them out to other owners.
